But if Monsanto sprinkles questionable GMOs in my food, I am not even allowed to know about it. The government protects Monsanto's secrecy. This is not right. We should all have the right to know what we eat.

We the people call for the recall of Alan Arakawa as Mayor of Maui, as he has shown time and time again he is not working for the people. From misappropriating funds to not upholding citizens votes, we hereby charge him with high treason and hold him accountable in a court before a jury of his peers.

Every year, the United States throws away one-third of all the food it produces — 133 billion pounds of food. Grocery stores are responsible for tossing 10% of that food. A lack of education of both consumers and sellers on food safety and food waste has led to bad habits and wasteful selling practices. This law would prohibit large supermarkets from throwing out unsold food, instead mandating stores to donate any surplus groceries to charities or for animal feed use. The law should be part of a more general energy and environmental bill.

What we allow is what will continue, we cannot allow the toxicity of a corrupted system to ravage our planet any longer. Informed consent is the only consent, and with the state of things as they are we are grossly misinformed. Decriminalize all substances, Declassify and release all secrets, and drop all charges against Edward Snowden, Chelsea Manning, and Jeffrey Sterling: Edward Snowden, Chelsea Manning, and Jeffrey Sterling have all been falsely labelled and treated as criminals for defying a corrupt system. All charges against them must be dropped immediately and ( where applicable ) they must be released. The War on Drugs has very obviously failed on all fronts. Full decriminalization of all substances will not only make it safe for those who enjoy smoking Marijuana to do so without fear of wrongful persecution, but it will facilitate and greatly lessen the burden of those trying to help and treat those addicted to other currently illegal substances ( as proven by other countries who have decriminalized them ). Those in jail on nothing but possession charges, who have committed no violence whatsoever, must also receive the same absolute dropping of charges and be released. All that has ever been classified or kept secret by any means must be declassified and shared with the public, though perhaps legal in many cases this secrecy has no place in a system that is supposed to be by the people and for the people. Nothing less than complete and total transparency is required if we are to be capable of living up to this "by and for the people" notion. As it has been said by many, "If you have done nothing wrong, then you have nothing to hide." and it is well known how invasive the surveillance of the whole world is and has been, now it's the public's turn to shed some light in some dark corners =) Also, to quote Snowden, "The consent of the governed is not consent, if it is not informed." The purpose of this petition is to help and to nurture the revolution of Peace, Justice, Truth, and Love that is already happening on planet Earth. The world as we know it is addicted to fossil fuels and to $profit$, and this is causing unacceptable devastation to our physical home as well as our mental/emotional home. The principles of permaculture must be applied as soon as possible in as many locations as possible, and all energy systems that are not sustainable or renewable must be abandoned/overhauled as soon as possible. We have the potential to bring a swift, nonviolent end to inequality of all kinds, and thereby we can make way for True, enduring, Peace on Earth.

Tenants rights have been violated regularly within the state of New Jersey with basically no assistance from the local or state watchdogs. Our rights must be protected to ensure that the habitability laws are enforced so that our lives are protected from unscrupulous landlords/slumlords who have no regard for human life or condition.

The legalization of cannabis will benefit the people with that deeper study of the benefits that cannabis truly has. It would open up many jobs and cut down on the unemployment rate and give jobs to people who have medical problems where medications are not effective. It would also, like Canada, get the country out of financial debt.
