We the People of the United States of America, come to you, our Congress, to say that we expect you to provide for our safety and security by strictly enforcing all current gun regulations, passing and enforcing new gun regulations that require full background checks, reasonable waiting periods, annual licensing and registration of all firearms without exception, certificates of completion in gun safety courses, and a full ban on non-military ownership of all assault weapons and high capacity (9 rounds or more) magazines. We the People of the United States of America, come to you, our Congress, to say that we expect you to secure the Blessings of Liberty for us and for our children. Our lives have been robbed of our children, our mothers, our fathers, our sisters, our brothers, our friends, and our assurance of safety in our own communities because it is so easy to get deadly weapons in America. It is time to take back the streets of America from gangs and criminals by enforcing existing and future gun regulations. I am increasing alarmed at the amount of money that you use to challenge, Democratic, Federal Initiatives that have the favor of the majority of the American People. It is making our State a source of showing discourse to our Country as a Repubic as witnessed on BBC News and Al Jazeera English. Increasing coverage on the World Stage does not show Texas in a favorable manner due to your partisan, redneck ideologies. We have been witnessing huge cutbacks in services and education because of budget shortfalls and I consider your legal expenditures trying, in vane, to overturn such Federal laws as the Affordable Care Reform Act, obstructing Roe Vs. Wade rights, obstructing free access to voting rights, obstructing union based initiatives in our state and such is not only wasted taxpayer money but is making us a laughing stock to the rest of the world and our country in general. Please stop any movement towards fighting something that is both partisan on your part and against the National will of the American and Texas people as determined by the PPP and other reliable polling sources. Start listening to your constituents, instead of to your party. If you want to stand out use Christopher J. Christie, Governor of New Jersey as a model. Quit being a Red Neck.

Since enforcing background checks on all gun purchases is difficult, another approach is to require a hunting/gun license to buy ammunition and to require a background check to get a hunting/gun license, or to simply require background checks and ID to buy ammunition.

We the undersigned would like to bring your attentionto this issue of the punishment for police officers who commit crimes against citizens of the United States such as what happened to Phillip Alberternst and other victims of police brutality.

Make it a requirement for insurance companies to advise policy holders that their healthcare will be handled offshore by workers who do not speak or understand English and impose stiff taxes for companies who ship their jobs out of the US.
