    The United States of America shall create a new Licensing requirement for the ownership and use of guns. The licensing could be done through the congressional offices where background checks would be performed.A license should have to be renewed every 5 or 10 years. If circumstances occur that would make another background check necessary, this should be part of the legislation.

  • Tell the Senate: Let people refinance their student loans!
    Last year Congress lowered interest rates for new student loans, but didn't help people stuck with older student loans at 6, 8, even 10% interest rates or higher.   • Protect patient in North Carolina for lack of medical malpractice
    In October 2011 the new Republican Legislation passed a tort bill called Senate Bill 33 which caps claims so that I have not been able to take my case. I had at least four cases and have contacted several lawyers that no longer do medical malpractice. This is the only state a profession in not responsible for errors.

  • Increase funding for mental health services
    We petition that there be no cuts to state funded mental health clinics and services, which can often provide help for people unable to pay for private insurance. Furthermore, we petition that funding get increased to help meet the needs of patients already receiving help as well as allow for new patients to be brought in to get the help they need.

    To eliminate Defined Benefit Pension Plans for all Public Employees. To switch to an enrollment in Social Security and a secondary Defined Contribution Plan that will pay out using actuarial values. The current programs are financially unsustainable and have led to huge losses to the tax payers of California.
