  • We can't spend more on war in Iraq!
Since 2003, the U.S. has spent more than $816 billion on the war in Iraq. Meanwhile, domestic human, social, and infrastructure needs have suffered drastic budget cutbacks. We can’t afford to sink more taxpayer dollars into renewed combat operations. President Obama and Congress: Fund what we need at home, not a new war overseas.

  • Steve Pearce: You owe us a refund
After promising you are "working hard in Washington to cut spending" and saying, "Every dollar saved here is one fewer that a taxpayer in New Mexico has to pay," you spent almost $20,000 of our taxpayer dollars on a single plane ticket for a Middle East junket. Congressman, cut taxpayers a check and give us a refund for your wasteful spending.

It is unacceptable for vital environmental and public health protections to be subverted in the service of corporate interests. We ask the leaders of the Maine Legislature to conduct an immediate and thorough investigation of the DEP to detail what unethical behavior has been committed, what laws, if any, have been broken, and what new regulations are needed to prevent this kind of improper influence in the future.

  • Take Bob Davis off the air
Bob Davis, a radio host on Twin Cities News Talk AM 1130 in Minneapolis, said that he'd like to tell the parents of Sandy Hook victims to "go to hell" for infringing on his Second Amendment rights. Take Bob Davis off the air; he is a stain upon your station's reputation. Victims deserve respect and compassion, not vitriol and hate.
