On Tuesday February 22nd 2022, former president Donald Trump praised Putin's invasion of the Ukraine while on the Clay Davis and Buck Sexton show. Trump described Putin's invasion saying "This is genius!" "Oh that's wonderful" "How smart is that?" And again "You got to say that's pretty savvy." These remarks were made only hours after Putin declared eastern parts of Ukraine as independent states and ordered Russian troops into Ukraine, both acts in violation of international law. Putin's unprovoked invasion should not be the subject of praise and adoration from the lips of the former leader of the free world. Neither should a man who has used violence and murder to silence his political opponents be extolled for their "genius" by any representative of our government. These remarks are simply un-American and at a time of war they are also unpatriotic. Oklahoma's US Senators have both spoken out condemning Putin's invasion, his violation of international law, and the resulting violence. But they have also been silent as the leader of their political party is publicly siding with Putin. They haven't addressed him directly, and they haven't addressed his sentiments in any indirect way either. If they cannot stand up to Trump and condemn his words, all their strong words against Putin will amount to nothing. Putin can not be allowed to get away with this invasion, so it is imperative that the Western powers stand firmly united in our opposition of his actions. But of what use is the threat of sanctions when the former and potentially future president is praising the man those sanctions target? How can we expect Putin to take our threats seriously when just two years from now Trump could be elected and roll back all those sanctions? We can't. We must stand united against Putin's invasion, and that means calling out and condemning dissenting voices like Trump. So it is imperative that our representatives stand up a denounce Trump's words for the un-American and unpatriotic sentiments that they are. Tell Senators Langford and Inhofe that they must act now or risk emboldened Putin later.

I will not shop at Whole Foods until you reverse your anti-diversity policy and permit employees to communicate with each other in the language they know best. Whole Foods Market's commitment to organic and natural foods has made it a national leader in responsible food choice, but your policies prohibiting employees from speaking their own language or organizing to overturn these anti-diversity policies directly contradicts your commitment to "team member excellence and happiness." A company which forces its employees to deny their heritage and speak only English won't get my business. I urge you to reverse your discriminatory policy and encourage your employees to be as proud of their heritage as they are of their company.

Tell President Trump to develop a specific budget for ALL travel expenses (including family) that is reasonable. Tell him he will be required to pay any additional expenses out of his own pocket.

TV and newspapers have been recently highlighting the seemingly growing, sickening trend of trend of images of people deliberately inflicting cruelty on animals. These individuals seem to think it amusing to record and post the crime of defenseless animals being hurt, tortured and sometimes killed for their own amusement. YouTube and others in power have as of yet done nothing efficient to prevent this so it is necessary to withdraw these images, and put restrictions and penalties and immediately take measures to permanently put a stop to this sickening endorsement of animal cruelty. There are no age restrictions to protect even young children from viewing these videos, which have distasteful titles such as "Woman kills cat by stepping on it with high heels" and "How to microwave your dog". There is are journals that assert there is a direct Animal Abuse-Human Violence Connection, as a person or child that would do this is said to be likely to kill or hurt a human being. There are also instances of children posting these videos reported in the news. This gives publicity to the YouTube and the abusers a well, and promotes violence to innocent animals. In this era of technology, there must be laws to protect children as well as adults from viewing violent, immoral acts that no person should ever see. We must encourage YouTube to place fines and appropriate penalties, and report violence to authorities. One thought is that these people should have banned IP addresses all together to ever visit the site immediately upon discovery of posting such videos, and the incidence reported to authorities. Above all, these videos should not be approved for viewing in the first place, as even the titles are repulsive. There are ways to flag and complain about these videos, but YouTube doesn't seem to do much about it. Clicking on these videos gives the perpetrators thousands of hits, and they allegedly collect revenue for the ads, so even if you are an advocate of animal rights, you are contributing to their views, and possibly earning them revenue by watching these videos and/or clicking on their ads. There is no excuse for any of these video promoted in a public forum available to children all over the world. This is obviously against the law. Few have been caught and taken to jail, and have shown no remorse, and some have repeated the action. This shows negligence on the part of YouTube and its affiliates and lack of proper screening for this, as many of these videos can be easily found by a simple search. They are giving these criminals a forum to display their heinous acts. Understandably, the internet has been consistently moving at a fast pace, and although it may be difficult or costly to keep up with, it is the responsibility of YouTube to never allow this to happen again. Also recommended is Congress step in and place laws and fines on youtube for taking responsibility for their action of allowing this to occur. YouTube has the power to immediately remove offensive material, and must stop the continuation of promoting cruelty to animals by giving abusers a forum for promoting violence for all to see. There is absolutely no excuse for the continuation of this disturbing trend on YouTube to continue. Louisiana State Law 17:17.1 mandates that all schools, K-8 are required to provide students with 30 minutes daily of vigorous physical activity. Currently schools provide our students with Physical Education only 1-2 times per week and if they are lucky, students are afforded a 15 minute "Brain Break." Often, this much needed "brain break" is taken away from our students as an ineffective punitive measure. The American Academy of Pediatrics states: "Recess serves as a necessary break from the rigors of concentrated, academic challenges in the classroom. ... The American Academy of Pediatrics believes that recess is a crucial and necessary component of a child's development and, as such, it should not be withheld for punitive or academic reasons." In order for our children to learn valuable lessons through free play, they must be given the opportunity to experience sensory integration, social awareness, and physical play that will allow them to come back to class and ready to learn. Please bring recess back to our schools.

As the video shows, we are weeks away from making Maui 100% COVID-free, and we could get back to normal, unrestricted life, just like they did in New Zealand. We have to guard that status with a managed quarantine, which cannot accommodate the usual 9-day tourists. Tests are not enough. To get people back to work, shift tourism towards long-term visitors who want to ride out the pandemic in a safe place. This will fill the hotels, return full employment, and keep us all safe. We have a unique marketing advantage to do so. Maui will be the only destination in the world that offers long-term visitors complete safety from the Coronavirus. Many locations have beaches and hotels, but only we are COVID-free. We could call it "Sanctuary Maui". Following New Zealand's example, these are the next steps: 1) Stop unrestricted interisland travel 2) Tighten the 14-day quarantine 3) Setup a task force to fully develop the Sanctuary Maui strategy Both interisland travel and a quarantine that is often circumvented may introduce additional infections. They are existential risks for an eradication strategy. We are either 100% COVID-free without masks or we try to minimize infections and continue to wear masks for the next year.

Discrimination is morally wrong and illegal. Denny's owes their LGBTQ customers an apology. It's past time to adopt non-discrimination policies that welcome every customer into their restaurants.
