Require Tax Returns to Qualify for BallotNo candidate will qualify for the elective ballot without providing their tax returns for public review: "Amends the Election Code. Provides that no candidate for President or Vice-President of the United States shall appear on the official ballot for the general election if that candidate has not released his or her tax returns at least 5 days prior to the date set for certification of the ballot for the general election. Defines "released his or her tax returns" to mean that the tax returns filed with the federal Internal Revenue Service for the 5 most recent years in which tax returns have been filed by the candidates for President and Vice-President of the United States have been filed with the Secretary of State. Requires the Secretary of State to post the tax returns on the Secretary of State's website and to certify that the tax returns have been filed to the State Board of Elections. Allows the Secretary of State to adopt rules to implement the provisions."58 of 100 SignaturesCreated by AE Stewart

Tell Fort Collins City Council: Get the Facts Before We Frack!Dear Fort Collins City Council: We urge you to put a 5-year moratorium on fracking while we get all of the necessary facts to make an educated decision on whether or not to allow fracking in our communities. We believe that fracking poses a threat to public health, safety and our property values and that cannot be ignored. There is so much at stake. We are putting public health, safety, property values and our water at risk by acting before conclusive information can be gathered on the impacts of fracking. Please do not act rashly with disregard for the possible long-term consequences Fort Collins citizens could face if we allow fracking to continue in our community. Let's get the facts before we frack. Please use your authority to protect the citizens of Fort Collins by a vote to enact a 5-year fracking moratorium today. Sincerely,1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jamie Way

Fix the Voting Rights Act!The Voting Rights Act is dead without further action by our elected representatives in Congress. We, the constituents of Rep. William Lacy Clay, Jr., call on him to speak up on our behalf to do what the Supreme Court intended: fix it! From The Nation's blog¹, "In the Shelby County v. Holder ruling on June 25, 2013, the Court’s conservative majority struck down Section 4 of the VRA, the formula that compelled specific states with a well-documented history of voting discrimination to clear their voting changes with the federal government under Section 5 of the VRA. The two provisions were always meant to work together; without Section 4, Section 5 became a zombie, applying to zero states." ----- ¹http://www.thenation.com/blog/177962/members-congress-introduce-new-fix-voting-rights-act1,141 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Christopher McIntosh

Right to Life for the most profoundly disabledGovernor McDonnell and the DOJ have reached an agreement under the false premise that it will bring improvement in health care for the most profoundly intellectual and physically disabled. The DOJ demanded more community placement but did not demand complete closure of all 5 institutional facilities, one of which provides 5-star skilled nursing care and 24-hour on-site physician care to sustain life for those most profoundly disabled. The Governor is privatizing all of it, but canceling the skilled care portion with no alternative that's remotely equal in the community. If this settlement is approved as written, it will pose a threat to the lives of many who only survive today because of the high quality of the specific institutional care they have been receiving to date. In a rush to a "one size fits all" solution the Governor has compromised the right to life for a most vulnerable minority.1,200 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Wriley Wood
