This resort will add 130+ guests & employees year round, more than doubling the population of Bondurant! The resort owner-funded impact study was insufficient and does not address the many negative impacts (greatly increasing the number of people recreating in the area, increasing septic production on highly permeable soil, likely resulting in groundwater contamination/sewage pollution to the Hoback River, increased garbage going to Sublette county transfer station, steady stream of transient Guests requires supply of food and living supplies to be delivered and increase road maintenance expenses, etc.). Also, permit request doesn’t indicate type of activities. Snowmobile rental, along with increased vehicles in area, would add a significant amount of exhaust pollution and noise pollution. Constant influx of Guests fishing and hunting will increase demand on the relatively small upper Hoback region. Rezoning of this Ag land for multi-occupant commercial use and permit approval of this large luxury resort would not be of a positive benefit to the wildlife nor the residents living in the area and should be denied by the Sublette County Commissioners. I am writing to express my strong opposition to the Trump administration's "extreme vetting" proposal that requires all visa applicants to disclose their social media handles . I support keeping America safe, but this harmful proposal undermines American values and diverts security resources. I am deeply concerned that this will be utilized as part of the Trump administration's efforts to impose a Muslim ban or otherwise drive down the numbers of individuals from Muslim-majority nations seeking visas.
