We encourage the support of House Resolution 51: Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that adding art and design into Federal programs that target the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields encourages innovation and economic growth in the United States.

We urge you to oppose HJR 1099, anti-science legislation that would deny Oklahoma students access to a world-class science education, all due to irrational objections to nominal climate science content in the standards. HJR 1099 rejects the unanimous recommendation made by the Oklahoma State Board of Education to adopt Oklahoma Academic Standards for Science, which were developed by a team of 59 Oklahoma educators, scientists, engineers, and parents over the last year. More than 500 educators reviewed the standards, which then received extensive public input before being unanimously approved for adoption by the Oklahoma State Board of Education. If this move to censor science education is successful, Oklahoma standards will revert to the current, outdated standards that are in urgent need of upgrading. This would be a tremendous disservice to Oklahoma kids, who deserve access to the highest quality science education available, including climate science. Please stand up for the best interests of Oklahoma kids by rejecting HJR 1099 and supporting the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Science without further political interference.

Create an Illinois Educational Facilities Planning Board to regulate the development and expansion of schools in the State of Illinois. School districts should be able to demonstrate 1) financial ability to complete the proposed construction or expansion project; 2) the capacity to operate the school and make contributions to teacher pension funds or other retirement plans; 3) market demand, as evidenced by demographic trends, number and types of schools, available seats and educational goals and objectives of the district.

The Point Newspaper editor, Deyda Hydara was shot dead, journalist Chief Ebrima Manneh was arrested in 2006, he is still missing feared dead. Most journalists, activists, including myself, have all fled the country and are living outside. He has arrested soldiers loyal to him on allegations of setting up coups, are jailed and some killed. He sells drugs, preps rebel groups aimed at destabilizing neighboring countries like Senegal. Tell President Obama you agree that the U.S. needs GMO labeling "because Americans should know what they're buying". For the past 20 years, Americans have been denied the right to know what's in their food. Help make this the Change We Can Believe In: Label GMOs! I support the labeling of foods that have been genetically engineered and agree that “Americans should know what they’re buying”. As such, I urgently implore the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to require mandatory labeling of foods meant for human or animal consumption that have been genetically engineered in laboratories or contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs). In America, we pride ourselves on having choices and making informed decisions. Under current FDA regulations, we don't have that choice when it comes to GMO ingredients in the foods we purchase and feed our families. Labeling is essential for me to choose whether or not I want to consume or feed my family genetically engineered foods. Genetically engineered foods are required to be labeled in the 15 European Union nations, Russia, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, and many other countries around the world. As an American, I firmly believe I should also have the right to know if my foods have been genetically engineered. A recent poll released by ABC News found that 93 percent of the American public wants the federal government to require mandatory labeling of genetically engineered foods. As ABC News stated, "Such near-unanimity in public opinion is rare." It is my hope that you will listen to me and the other 93 percent of the American public who want mandatory labeling of GMOs. We urge you to pass the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal and Transparency Act to enact urgently-needed ethical standards for the Supreme Court. Jane Roberts, the wife of Chief Justice John Roberts, makes millions of dollars per year placing lawyers at top D.C. law firms, some of which argue cases in front of the Supreme Court. Chief Justice Roberts has not fully disclosed these conflicts of interest, and has failed to recuse himself in cases involving law firms employing his wife’s clients. This is only the latest in a series of ethics violations that have undermined public trust in the courts.

Dear Councilmember,  Just last year, the District of Columbia  was a sanctuary city where ICE was responsible for its own mission without active support from local police. That ended in September 2025, with Mayor Bowser's executive order 2025-090 and her words of thanks for President Trump's federal surge.  Since then we've routinely seen MPD Officers and other District law enforcement working hand in glove with ICE and other federal agents who use racial profiling to harass and kidnap our neighbors and traumatize little children. There is a mountain of video evidence and we will not accept any more denials from DC officials.  We've seen federal agents use flash bang grenades in our neighborhoods, shoot into cars, put children in handcuffs, and carry weapons of war that have no place on our streets. These agents are nameless and unaccountable, wearing masks, driving unmarked cars - often with no license plates in clear violation of DC laws. Families of color are being targeted. From pre-K and up, our kids are terrified of ICE taking them or their loved ones away.  Worst of all, the Federal agents involved in the murder of Alex Pretti, Renee Good, Keith Porter Jr, Silverio González and others have not been held accountable. For all we know, one or more may now be working the streets of DC, possibly with an MPD escort.    And because MPD has refused to answer questions from the DC Council, there is far too little transparency or accountability. MPD has lost our trust and many of us are afraid to call for help when we need it. To date, only a handful of DC Council Members have used their voices and their power to demand accountability for ICE and the other federal agents occupying our city.
