Our new bill, HB.309, would require coverage for the diagnosis and treatment of autism, including physical, occupational, speech and behavioral health therapy. I have noticed recently as a new individual living in Massachusetts that recycling of paper, glass, cans, plastic does not exist. Instead, recyclable products and garbage are mixed in one landfill. Considering how many people live in Massachusetts, both in cities and countryside, it is important to reduce the amount of trash harming our environment. By reusing recyclable products including paper, glass, cans, and plastics, the amount of garbage will be vastly reduced. Please consider putting in place a recycling program to benefit the health of the environment thus benefiting the health of residence of MA. Thank you.

Just as nationally required for any vehicle, there is no reason why an integrated state and federal requirement for ownership registration, training certification, licensure for operation, and property damage and personal liability insurance should not be mandatory for guns. Taxes and associated fees should be imposed similar to those imposed for vehicles which would provide a significant source for revenue. Each time ownership is transferred, the same requirements should prevail just as for vehicles. This in no way interferes with 2nd Amendment "rights", will create new sources for revenue, and will help control of ownership and use in the state and throughout the country.

Cathrynn Brown, you must resign. Your attack on victims of sexual assault is a continuation of the 2012 Republican attack on women. The American people do not agree that there is "legitimate rape," or that a child conceived by rape is a "Gift from God." And they do not agree with you that victims of sexual assault should be further victimized by aborting the consequence of a rape. Your failure to draft a simple two page bill is unforgivable. You have lied as to your true intent, which is to outlaw abortion. You are an embarrassment to the people of the State of New Mexico. You must resign immediately.

Petition Background Walmart and a real estate developer are pressuring elected officials to rush a rezoning plan through the Montgomery County Council. Councilman Craig Rice is pushing for the county to rush its normal rezoning. He says the community will be hurt if the county council doesn't push the proposal through. In fact, small businesses and Montgomery County workers will be hurt if Walmart comes to Aspen Hill. A new store means big profits for Walmart and big headaches for Montgomery County. It means more poverty-wage jobs. And it means less business for small businesses.

It's old, and hydrotesting just makes defects worse. Exxon-Mobil has ignored the request to move the pipeline out of the sensitive Lake Maumelle Watershed, which provides drinking water for 400,000 people. There's only one choice-- DON'T RESTART PEGASUS!

We seek the removal of sectarian invocations in public, tax-supported, Bulverde City Council meetings. Your idea of diversity is to rotate invocations between local pastors - all Christian, when NOBODY's religion should be represented in this public venue. Your new opt-out prayer policy is a blatant form of punishment and set-apart discrimination when you "offer" those who choose not to pray to remain silent (or, I suppose also to remain seated, or leave the room). Do the right thing. Take religion out of Bulverde City Council chambers.

As of January 1, 2014 17 states and D.C. have passed "Good Samaritan" laws that grant limited immunity to drug users who seek help for someone who has overdosed from either a prescription opioid or a Schedule I opioid such as heroin. Each states offer different levels of protection for the person reporting the overdose incident with arrest, charge and prosecution being the primary variables.
