  • Tell KFC to Stop Rainforest Destruction Before It's Too Late
KFC: Stop Using Rainforest Destruction Dear CEOs of KFC and YUM! Brands, I recently learned KFC is using throw-away paper packaging made from rainforest trees. This has to change. There is no excuse to trash rainforests including forests critical to endangered tigers for chicken buckets. It's not just tigers that are affected by the deforestation your company is linked to. This forest destruction is threatening other species like Sumatran orangutans and elephants, making climate change worse, and getting in the way of much-needed sustainable development. Yum! Brands, and the suppliers you buy from, are linked to the destruction of Indonesia's rainforests through Asia Pulp & Paper (APP). According to its own public statements, APP, continues to use timber from the rainforests of Indonesia to make paper products. APP continues to use this timber despite the negative impact on the people and wildlife that depend on the rainforests for their survival, and despite the fact that it is accelerating climate change. KFC is one of the most prominent fast food brands around the world. As an industry leader, you should use your position to help not harm efforts to conserve the world's last rainforests. Other companies in your sector have begun addressing the problem. But YUM! lags far behind. Unlike a number of other major international companies, KFC and Yum! have no sustainability policies to exclude commodities connected to rainforest destruction. In fact, the group has consistently failed to even answer questions about its sourcing of products such as palm oil, soy and paper products. I would like to see KFC become a leader in the use of sustainable forest products, and for this to happen you should put in place a new standards for all commodities like paper that impact forests, including paper products, and make sure that its products are made in ways that don't damage the environment. I am asking you to act today to clean up your supply chains. Please stop pushing endangered wildlife like the Sumatran tigers to the brink of extinction for throw-away fast food packaging.

  • Amazon: Stop selling Nazi themed products!
Amazon has become a front for 1000's of retailers to sell through. Some of the products offered for sale are highly offensive and anti-Semitic in nature. We call on Amazon to stop the sale and promotion of these products immediately in the interest of continuing as a legitimate business and being a respectful corporate citizen.

  • Eliminate Capitalistic-Military Regime
WE THE undersigned PEOPLE are disappointed in the way we are governed with the following being some of the reasons. 1) What originated as a Democratic Republic, has turned into a Capitalistic-Military Regime. 2) All three branches of the leadership are bought by Wall Street bankers and corporations. 3) All governing personnel have sold themselves to the Industrial-Military-Complex with the intent of eliminating the sovereignty of all nations, including the USA, to allow it to use USA's nuclear arsenal to control the world by force, eliminating all the "Unalienable Rights" endowed to every life on this planet in doing so. 4) Although all public officials have taken an oath to protect the Constitution none of the three branches honor their own oath ensuring Justice for all the people and not an elite group. 5) The laws made by congress are all made to promote some form of financial gain to corporations while taking from We The People in general. Therefore we DEMAND, by the authority of Amendment 10, the removal of the president and congress to be replaced by a government "Of The People, For The People and By The People" for the purpose of preventing the Industrial-Military-Complex from making the whole world a "Sweat Shop" serving the rich as their slaves. Being removed from office due to TREASON they receives no RETIREMENT COMPENSATION rather than the death penalty except the executing presidents, Gorge W. Bush and Barack H, Obama, who will spend the rest of their lives on Death Row.

  • Hold Congress to the Graves
Congress is trying to repeal or replace the Affordable Care Act leaving 24 millions of Americans without possible life saving coverage. This petition is to have any and all house or senate members who vote to either repeal or replace with a lesser healthcare law be mandated to attend the funerals of all Americans who die as a consequence of losing their healthcare. It is the least they can do and is the honorable action to take.

  • Restore Andrew McCabe's Pension!
Andrew McCabe was barely 24 hours from his 50th birthday and retirement when he was UNJUSTLY and clearly vindictively fired by Attorney General Jeff Sessions late Friday night at the behest of President Donald Trump. This was unjust, unfair, and unreasonable--McCabe has done nothing wrong other than to be honest about what he knew about Comey's equally unjust dismissal.

  • Columbia City Council: leave the homeless alone
Many homeless people in Columbia, South Carolina, are facing an arduous choice: Vacate downtown or be arrested. The Columbia City Council's plan is to make it illegal to be homeless in Columbia and send the homeless to a 24/7 shelter outside of the city for now, and then possibly somewhere else out of town akin to a "concentration camp." We will get this issue on the ballot in the future election if you don't do the right thing.

  • MInimum wage increase
Douglas County, including the City of Parker, are within the top 10 income places to live within the nation--on a par with Washington DC for example. To still pay our service industry employees a minimum wage of $7.25 or less is despicable, and has little to do with profit. Face it, it is expensive to live here in order to service this area. For an average of 12 cents per average purchase the necessary wage increases could be more than covered. I propose to encourage raising our minimum wages by offering local employers a choice--fees for permits can remain the same or increase for those who refuse to make an adjustment for their employees. Ether way the increased revenue to local municipalities (ie: sales tax revenues, or fee increases) will benefit those municipalities for their public works. Think about it--12 cents more for your $5.00 craft beer at the local pub. 12 cents more on your $15.00 lunch. We can afford it.
