Although the Senate passed the VAWA bill with new, life-saving protections for immigrant women, the LGBT community, and Native American women, the House passed a bill that ignored these new protections, and went so far as to strip the original bill of protections that have already been in place! We, the parents with children at Holmes School in Darien, CT, respectfully request an amendment to the recently-implemented lunchtime mandated seating policy for all grades affected by this program. We ask that our children be allowed to choose whom they sit with during their lunch period(s), and will encourage our children to show courtesy and respect to their peers throughout the entire day at Holmes School.

Dear Mayor John A. Harkins, I am NOT in Favor of Building the New Stratford High On the location of Longbrook Park. I firmly believe this area should stay preserved as it is for the local enjoyment of the children to play in and adults to walk and enjoy the beauty ! Please review the decision of the Board of Education suggestion of Longbrook park and find another area such as the field across from Stratford High on king street (and the old Stratford High school area as the new field once The school is torn down) or the old Avco area.
