It is a right of passage that our teens have spent the last 12 years working hard for. Many students will not attend college, will not complete college or may face a life threatening illness or event. This may be the only opportunity many will have to celebrate their academic achievements. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS AWAY FROM THEM!!

Please lift travel ban on family based immigrant visas for citizens of countries impacted by the travel ban. They have been waiting for many years to reunite with their families.

Tell Karen Pence- do not teach or support a school that bans gay students, faculty, employees or parents. The Second Lady of the United States should not be enabling the discriminatory practices of such a school, and we should expect more from our country's leaders.

My niece, Christine Cynthia Reyna, passed away suddenly on December 11, 2014. She is the proud daughter of an immigrant father from Ecuador. My brother, Peter, was born in Ecuador but was raised in New York City. His petition to come to bury his daughter, and be a support to his other daughter, Aileen, was denied on 12/23/14. We awaited the embassy's reply, and therefore held up plans to bury Christine. We knew that Christine's deepest wish was to have her father by her side. However, on 12/27/14, our family had to face the agonizing reality and bury Christine without her father!

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) serves critical functions that benefit everyone in our community. I urge you to oppose any effort to dismantle NOAA, diminish its work, undermine its scientific integrity, or privatize its public data.  NOAA data helps us manage our day-to-day lives through accurate and freely available weather forecasting. NOAA experts help us predict, prepare for, and survive disasters. They strengthen our economy through farming outlooks and other high-quality data. They provide the information we need to navigate a warming world. There is no replacement for the scientific data NOAA provides, which taxpayers like me have supported for generations. Congress must stand up for NOAA, and I urge you to lead the way in protecting our nation's premiere climate science agency.
