To: The United States Senate

Senator Cornyn: We have spoken, now fall in line

We respectfully request that you show consideration for the majority of American people, who are asking that you allow the Bush tax rates to expire for the wealthiest 2% and extend them for the rest of the country.
In addition we request any so called "Fiscal Cliff" deal not include cuts to Medicaid, Medicare or Social Security.

Why is this important?

The "Fiscal Cliff" negotiations are, once again, an opportunity to attack the social safety net our predecessors worked so hard to achieve. It would sicken me, and I hope you, to have them dismantled on our watch.

And, of course, any negotiation that comes along winds up being an opportunity to squeeze in an extension for tax breaks for the wealthiest among us. We need to break this habit by allowing the Bush era tax breaks to expire and extending the breaks to those that can actually feel their impact....US!
