The Democrats in Congress must stand firm on raising the income tax on the rich ($250,000 per year or more) and not allowing Medicare or Medicaid to be slashed. This is the first year in recent history that life expectancy has declined (NOT RISEN) for minority males. Please don't sell out the middle class and poor.
Why is this important?
I am a physician and my husband is a lawyer. We have been blessed with good jobs. However, we know that all Americans are not so lucky. I have nephews and nieces who work very hard and barely can make their payments each month. We must maintain our social safety net. There is more to life and humanity than making millions.
