To: Elizabeth Warren, Senator

Senator Warren, your movement wants you to endorse Bernie

Dear Senator,

The rumor mill reports you are going to endorse Hillary Clinton and that your earlier letter encouraging her to run has you bound to endorse her. Such an endorsement will be an unforgivable betrayal of the progressive movement by its very champion at the most important juncture.

Poor Hillary. She bet on beltway politics and traded her integrity for what she mistakenly thought would be the route to power. We all wanted a woman president. Now we hope it will be you -- following a Sanders/Warren administration. Please don't make the single greatest miscalculation in your political career you could ever make.

MoveOn.org just endorsed Bernie based on a 78% membership vote. For just the third time in its history, the Nation magazine has endorsed Bernie. The youth movement is absolutely dedicated to Bernie. And Hillary is choosing to air attack ads that are dishonest and backfiring.

You better than anyone should agree that the income Hillary has earned making speeches to Wall Street create an insurmountable conflict of interest for her that disqualifies her from truly representing the progressive movement. And these are just a few short notes.

So the question for you is: Who do you represent? Are you a progressive? I cannot believe I am writing you this message. I never believed it might ever be other than that yes, absolutely, Senator Warren is the standard bearer and voice of the progressive movement. If you endorse Hillary, make no mistake, you will betray that movement at a time where for 8 years, we did not get the real "Change" promised by President Obama, not really, not when, for example, he named Goldman Sachs' Henry Paulson to be Secretary of the Treasury. You know it is true. And you know we won't get real change with Hillary either.

You should recognize that Bernie has good timing. Hillary doesn't. Your own fortunes are served by collaboration with the person who has decades of integrity and whose moment is ripe, not by endorsing a candidate who sold out long ago and doesn't yet realize her moment is long gone. Don't make this mistake. WE NEED YOU!

Please endorse Bernie Sanders for President. Where is your sense of timing? Be a leader. Make a difference. The time is now.

Why is this important?

From MoveOn.org to the Nation magazine, progressives have clearly chosen Bernie Sanders as their candidate. It's time for Elizabeth Warren to be true to her own politics and make clear she endorses Bernie Sanders.
