I am calling on Arkansas Senators Tom Cotton and John Boozman to hold public town hall forums during Congressional recess so that the constituents they serve will have an opportunity to meet with them and discuss current events and issues of importance.
Why is this important?
Senators are elected to serve the needs of the residents of their state and should therefore avail themselves to the general public whenever they return from Washington D.C. According to their official websites, neither Senator has any public events currently scheduled during the upcoming recess. As an Arkansas resident and voter, I find this lack of interaction with their constituents to be unacceptable.
