In the wake of the recent shooting in Roseburg Oregon and on top of mass casualties at Sandy Hook Elementary, Fort Hood, Texas, Aurora, Colorado, Racer Cafe in Seattle, Pinewood Village Apts. in Federal Way Washington, please consider signing my petition for sensible gun control including: universal background checks, mandatory waiting periods, and the training and licensing of gun owners.
Why is this important?
I was a Seattle firefighter and have had many personal experiences with gun violence including accidental shootings, suicides, and homicides. I never saw a shooting in my thirteen years as a firefighter that was in self defense.
