Sentence enhancement should be per incident and not per victim involved. The stacked sentencing does nothing but cause overcrowding in the prisons and waste of tax payers money.
Why is this important?
The courts are sentencing defendants to gang/gun enhancements per victim involved and not per incident. Stacking these enhancements makes the sentencing unrealistic. To sentence 100+ years in prison serves no real purpose since the defendant has nothing to lose while incarcerated, good behavior or bad behavior. With 100+ years there's no possibility of rehabilitation because the defendant knows there is no release from the prison system with that type of sentence.
