We want to put a stop to unlimited time served in congress and the senate. We want their job to be an opportunity for all Americans, not just those with wealth beyond measure.
Why is this important?
It is well know now that people of Congress and the Senate get paid $300,000.00 a year. Moreover, if they step down. They continue to get that pay check for the rest of their life. If they die, their spouse gets the income.
This is just giving billions in American Tax Dollars to pay for private contractors to protect them from us, to pay for their vacations with the rest of the elite in the world, and to fly them on private jets rather than have them use the same air lines as the rest of the population.
Once a person leaves a job, their paycheck stops; as well as. their insurance. The ability to serve in these institutions should not be reserved for nobility, but any American with ability to get the job done.
If we are to fix the waste of our Tax dollars, it has to start with what our leaders get paid, and how they use Taxes for personal gain rather then the good of the republic. We need a healthy democratcy, not just one for the privileged few.
