All elections for officers - local, state, or United States needs to be shorten to no longer than 6 months (or 3 months) The money saved on needless campaigns can be used for better roads, education for everyone, a cleaner environment, research to fight diseases or etc.

Yes, everyone in the United States has been affected with the campaigns - local, state, and United States. Milllions of dollars are being spent on needless election campaigns. This is coompletely unnecessary with mass communication in today's world.
