SHOW ME THE FOOTAGE, DASH CAMERA BODY CAMERA
Law enforcement officers must show dash camera footage or body camera footage. The footage must include minutes, seconds, frames showing a traffic infraction or speeding violation has been committed before a motorist can be found guilty in a court of law ending with possible points against their license. The residents of Michigan ask this to become a state law.
Why is this important?
Motorist have the right to challenge a traffic ticket, and law enforcement dash cameras and body cameras should be viewed first to see if a traffic infraction or speeding violation happened exactly the way law enforcement claims before any plea deals or points being issued against a motorist license.
