Shut Down Vermont Yankee
Vermont Yankee Nuclear Plant is in a critical state. It is an archaically designed plant that has been open for 40 years. There have been very dangerous accidents such as radioactive leaks and a even a fire. We need to shut down VT Yankee safely before we need to shut it down to to an irreparable disaster; for the sake of the health of our children and the health of our beloved state as a whole.
Why is this important?
VT Yankee is an old plant, and it has had some very, very dangerous mishaps. A plant like this should not be in operation, even according to the Nuclear Regulatory Committee (NRC). It's leaking into our ground water and right into the Connecticut River. It needs to be safely shut down before it is shut down due to a horrible disaster. Please sign this and pass it on.
