Sierra Club: stop littering
SIERRA CLUB, I'm disappointed.
I'm hereby registering strong objection to the non-recyclable plastic membership card you just sent me, one that is to be punched out of a plastic sheet of the same material and which has no purpose other than to be thrown away. I'm appalled that an organization that purports to be about the environment is sending out so much petroleum-based garbage. You will not get my membership contribution, but I will send the plastic back to you so that you can try to figure out what to do with it.

Why is this important?
The Sierra Club sent me a renewal request, enclosing a plastic card and card-surround that is neither recyclable nor biodegradable. This organization should be setting an example of the minimal use of petroleum-based material.
