Simplify India OCI process
Currently, the Indian consulates make it an unnecessarily difficult process for getting a visa or OCI to visit India for any reason.
In addition, to make matters worse, they do not allow any direct contact and make you go through a private company called CKGS. CKGS has a monopoly that is making money to make it even more horrible.
As an example, take a look at this for India:

As a comparison, take a look at this for Australia:

This process does not have to be this bad. Please bring it down to 1 form, at least for straightforward cases, so that taxpayer money can be spent on something more meaningful.

Why is this important?
This is causing pain when families are affected and loss of revenue when business is involved. It is also an improper use of public funds.
