Social Security Retirement for Congress and Senate

Why should elected officials decide when I can retire and receive my earned retirement fund? Why are these people regulating a retirement fund that doesn't affect them and their families? Why do they have a separate retirement fund with different retirement requirements?

Let's level the retirement field. Place the Congress and Senate members in Social Security retirement; otherwise, they should not be the ones to regulate the funds.

Why is this important?

Effective immediately, retirement funds for all members of Congress and the Senate--past, present, and deceased--should be moved into the Social Security retirement system. They should live with the same retirement benefits as other American citizens.
