After the domestic terrorist act where black worshipers were murdered in church, the state of South Carolina continues to fly the Confederate flag at the statehouse at full mast. The Confederate flag is a symbol of racism and is offensive to people of conscience. That the Confederate flag flies at full mast after such a horrific act targeting people based on race is an insult to all Americans.
Why is this important?
Every American has been affected by this act of domestic terrorism. The state of South Carolina should lower all flags to half mast in honor and solidarity for all its citizens.
