Speaker Boehner, Let The House Vote on Employment Nondiscrimination!

Put a stop to employment discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Let the House vote on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act!

Why is this important?

My name is Brad and I live in Seattle, Washington. Here in Washington State we have laws that protect Lesbian, Gay, Bi, and Transgender people from workplace discrimination. However, In 29 other states, including my home state of Tennessee, people are fired everyday simply because of how they identify or who they love.

The Employment Nondiscrimination Act of 2013 has passed the Senate with bi-partisan support (including the support of 10 Republican Senators), and is ready for a vote in the House of Representatives.

That's where you come in! Not every bill actually makes it to the floor of the House of Representatives. In fact, many bills die because the Speaker of the House, John Boehner refuses to let them have a vote. But with your help, we can put pressure on Speaker Boehner to ask that this bill gets a vote.

Please stand with me and millions of other Americans in asking Speaker Boehner to bring House Bill H.R. 1755, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, to the floor for a vote today!
