Speaker Howell: Don't Put Lee Ware in Charge of My Healthcare!
Lee Ware is an extremely vocal critic of the Affordable Care Act, and we think that someone who is so adamantly opposed to the law will be unable to objectively assess it's effectiveness. As concerned citizens of the 65th District, we respectfully ask that Howell consider removing Ware from the Health Insurance Reform Commission.
Why is this important?
Recently, House Speaker Howell appointed Republican Delegate Lee Ware, an outspoken critic of the Affordable Care Act, to the newly- formed Health Insurance Reform Commission. This body is tasked with assessing the implementation of the ACA in Virginia. We do not feel that Lee Ware will be able to adequately fulfill the requirements the commission demands because he has already made up his mind about the ACA.
