We need to do what we can to make more people aware of the very real presence of violence in our lives. Violence in our homes causes the violence in our streets and ultimately the violence that is in the world. Why is this important?
As the Survivor of Long Time Spiritual abuse, and then of the Domestic Violence and Emotional Abuse that was made acceptable through my training as a child "in the church," it has become my rallying cry and my Duty as Clergy to speak up and speak out and scream it loud and proud that we are not going to take it anymore...Violence in our streets starts with violence at home
