Congress should set mandates for debt resolution between insurance companies and doctors or medical institutions or patients (60 days maximum). Any profits made by insurance companies during any delay should be returned to Social Security Medicare to defer the cost of insurance to medicare patients.
Why is this important?
Doctors and medical institutions should not have to wait long periods of time for pay from Insurance companies. Insurance companies engaged to supplement medicare have a captured audience of clients and they often delay payment for services for close to a year causing credit issues, etc. I am sure that the insurance companies don't sit on these large sums of money and don't invest it to get huge financial returns.
