All SS benefit increases should be locked to all increases for other major Federal positions, President, V. Pres., Speaker, Congress people and Senators. If SS increases are denied, ALL others will be denied as well.
Why is this important?
Whenever it is decided that SS recipients are not getting an increase, no President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, Congress people or Senators should receive an increase in their salaries. And when there is an increase in the SS benefits, the % for all other Federal salaries may not exceed what SS increase % equals.
