Stand for Health Care Fairness in Nebraska
It's time to do what's right - to stand for health care fairness in Nebraska. Nebraska's governor and other politicians are actively fighting health care coverage for low-income, working Nebraska families - many of these families are earning less than $20,000 per year and have no access to health coverage.
At the same time, the governor and other state elected officials are receiving generous health coverage, paid largely by the taxpayers of Nebraska. In fact, Nebraska taxpayers will subsidize the governor's health insurance up to $20,000 per year for family coverage, but families that make less than $20,000 per year get no coverage at all.
We need to send a message to these politicians - it's time to put working Nebraskans first!
Sign our petition to support health care coverage for all Nebraskans and to tell our elected officials: "You should not get health coverage until all Nebraskans do".

Why is this important?
Right now, Nebraska officials like Gov. Dave Heineman are blocking the expansion of Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. As a result, about 50,000 low-income Nebraskans will be left without access to health care – except through the high-cost emergency room.
With Medicaid expansion, these Nebraskans will instead have access to cost-effective preventative care to keep them healthy and working. This federal investment will also return between $2.3 billion and $3.5 billion to Nebraska’s economy this decade. Our tax dollars are leaving our state regardless of whether or not Nebraska takes advantage of this new program -- and Medicaid expansion is the only way to bring them back from Washington
It's time to do the right thing for our economy, our health care system, and for our neighbors by providing health care coverage for all Nebraskans. Expand Medicaid in Nebraska now.
