Stand Strong on the Fiscal Curve

Senator Harkin, we urge you to stand up for us and make sure any fiscal deal ends the Bush tax cuts for the top 2% AND protects Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid benefits from any cuts. This is what we voted for in November, and we expect you, our elected official, to vote the same way." You are a well respected member of the senate and have represented Iowa for a long time, we sincerely hope that you will use your years of experience to help reach a responsible compromise that does not leave the middle class footing the bill. We need a balanced deal that does not cater to extremism. If Republicans are not willing to raise revenue we would rather you make no deal than a bad deal.
