I'm a proud member of the California Creative Learning Academy Middle School community. I strongly support the charter renewal for California Creative Learning Academy Middle School. This school is making a lasting difference through championing an education for all that embraces the power of possibility through holistic learning, authentic experiences, and the agency to effect social change. CalCreative Middle School is transforming our world and ourselves through inquiry, innovation and interconnectedness, building curiosity and a love of learning in every type of learner.
Why I Support California Creative Learning Academy:
- Strong, caring, passionate and amazing teachers, staff and school leaders
- Provides Whole-Person Education, taking a holistic approach to support students learning in all areas - intellectual, emotional, social and physical growth.
- Project Based, Arts Integrated curriculum that builds curiosity and a love of learning
- Provides Inclusive Education - a school for all types of learners, learning together
- Focuses on Social and Emotional Learning and Social Justice
- Develops 21st Century skills of critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, curiosity, empathy, communication and connection through inquiry, investigation, reflection, and art.
Together with families and our community, California Creative Learning Academy Middle School helps students build skills necessary to succeed in rapidly changing a modern economy, with a focus on media arts, literacy and creativity; and skills to navigate a diverse and complex modern world, with a focus on mindfulness, empathy and connection.
I urge LAUSD to renew the California Creative Learning Academy Middle School charter so this important work can continue.
