Your sacred sites, cultural heritage, land and water are all under threat due to the Dakota Access Pipeline. As you've told us, "You can live without money. You can live without oil. But you can't live without water."
Especially as we face an incoming White House that is already loading up with Big Polluter lobbyists that will literally profit from the Dakota Access Pipeline, we want you to know that we stand with you.
Your work for months to protect Mother Earth and to fight back against corporate greed has been seen and heard by the entire world. We, as LCV members, stand with you, the Water Protectors. Please know that we are watching, and we won't forget all the work you've done to be heard. Thank you for fighting for Mother Earth.
Why is this important?
Trump’s election has put the Standing Rock Sioux and the Water Protectors fighting the Dakota Access Pipeline in grave danger. Not only is Donald Trump an actual investor in Energy Transfer Partners, the corporation responsible for building the pipeline, the corporation’s CEO even donated to Trump’s campaign!
Now more than ever we need to we add our voices to amplify theirs. That is what the Standing Rock Sioux are asking for, and we need them to know we will be here for them.
