Stand with West Virginia. Protect people and water from Big Coal!
Enough is enough. What will you do to make sure a disaster like the Freedom Industry chemical spill will never happen again?
Instead of consistently dismantling any regulations for the coal and chemical industry, it is your responsibility to protect our communities from dangerous water and air pollution. Whether it is the chemicals used in coal mining and production or mountaintop removal mining itself, no one should live downstream from such a danger.

Why is this important?
On January 9, Freedom Industries, a largely unregulated chemical-storage company for Big Coal, spilled thousands of gallons of toxic chemicals into the Elk River and poisoned the water for 300,000 people.
One month in, Governor Tomblin of West Virginia still has his head in the sand -- and just last week, a second spill happened at Freedom Industries. This situation is spiraling of control.
