All private and public door ways including bathrooms, and bedrooms will have at least a standard width of 32 inches, with room to maneuver a wheel chair on both sides of the door.
Why is this important?
I have spent a year trying to find a house that fits a wheel chair because of substandard door ways. There is actually no standard in California. Interior and exterior doors, including bedrooms and bathrooms, private and public, need to be at least 32 inches wide with room to maneuver a wheel chair on both sides of the door.
