Standardized Testing for Politicians/Candidates

Sitting Politicians as well as those running for Congress must take standardized tests to assess their knowledge of the Constitution and basic understanding of Ethics and Civics. This will be not only a tool to compare candidates, but an ongoing re-assessment, much like renewing a driver's license, so that every few years candidates/incumbents are reminded of their responsibilities and/or the public can see what grades they have received. Consider it like a public health grade outside a restaurant.

Why is this important?

I think it's about time that politicians be accountable. What's more, they should be more educated about what it is they are hired by the American people to do. This is one way to determine how qualified they are to be in, or run for office.
