Starbucks Needs to End its Partnership with Arizona State University

If Starbucks really cares about inclusivity, they should stop funding their employees to study at a school that denies equal rights to LGBT students. I am currently a graduate student at Arizona State University who has been prevented from continuing with my studies because I reported faculty misconduct and a hostile work environment. When I had a emergency hysterectomy, I filed the necessary disability accommodations to protect my funding and academic standing. As a professional educator and artist returning to school to teach photography at the university level, I assumed that I would have basic rights as a transgender student. I could not fathom that in the midsts of multiple medical emergencies my professors would retaliate against me by slandering my professional reputation with fraudulent accusations of “disruptive behaviour” .
