State and Federal Interns Must Make $15/Hr or Get Free Intern College Credit at State Universities

Today, only students of wealthy families can afford to work a summer for free for a state or federal political office. Often, an internship is a requirement to graduate and the student must pay their university for the credit hours to work for the government for free. The student is literally paying to work for free.

Why is this important?

I have paid over $3000 to work for free, which includes tuition, athletic fee, campus health fee, and other campus-based fees when the internship was 2.5 hours from campus. Total income for 10 weeks of 40hrs/week; $0.00 dollars
Any politician who claims to want to make college more affordable - and/or - supports a $15 /hr minimum wage but does not pay all college interns is a lying hypocrite.
