We strongly urge that all Ohio state legislators and
their leadership support the expansion of medicaid
which will provide health care to thousands of needy Ohioans.
Why is this important?
Under the Affordable Care Act, states will receive 100%
funding the first year, to expand medicaid coverage up to 138%
of the federal poverty level. However, the Supreme Court ruling
made the expansion optional in each state.
Gov. Kasich has included the expansion in his budget, with limitations.
We demand that the Republican majorities in the General Assembly support the expansion. Thousands of Ohioans need health care now.
