State Assembly: vote against fracking in California.

Ask your State Assembly Member to vote FOR (yes) on Ab-1301, the anti-fracking bill, next Monday, Apr. 29th, 2013.

Why is this important?

Fracking—injecting massive amounts of water and toxic chemicals into the ground to reach previously inaccessible oil and gas—is an extreme process, with catastrophic results. Maybe you've seen the footage of people in Pennsylvania lighting their tap water on fire after it's been contaminated with chemicals used in fracking. Fracking threatens our water, our air, our farms, and our health—and contributes to global warming.( http://www.moveon.org/r?r=289224&id=66523-21412315-CR23URx&t=4).
An oil industry insider recently told Politico that if California—known as a progressive and Democratic state—moves forward with fracking, "it will be a lot harder to paint the process as an extreme process that risks the health and safety of individuals."(http://www.politico.com/story/2013/04/california-energy-fracking-battleground-90397.html).
The State Assembly needs to take action NOW! They should vote YES on State Assembly Bill,A.B.,1301
