To ensure a healthy future for our planet, our children, and ourselves, the US government must take steps to nationalize the coal and oil industries and gradually redistribute jobs and investments to renewable energy industries.
Why is this important?
The issue of human-caused global warming has been largely ignored by the national government because of the influence of powerful energy-guzzling corporations. Some politicians still deny its very existence. The truth is that global warming and the accompanying damage, already evident in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, threatens our very way of life. Opponents maintain, however, that the US would suffer an economic meltdown and incredible loss of jobs should an attempt be made to shut down the gas and coal industries.
The solution to global warming while maintaining a healthy economy is simple, if controversial: the US government must nationalize coal and oil corporations and gradually redistribute jobs and investments to renewable energy industries like solar and wind.
