Why is this important?
This international "trade agreement" has been being negotiated behind closed doors since 2006. First, it would supercede a country's own laws. In essence it is implementing itself above the democratic processes. Akin to SOPA and PIPA it would tragically impede the internet as we know it. Additionally, it would establish a worldwide reduction in civil rights. We need to act now.
