Stop Bullying In Our Schools
We, the undersigned, wish to see the passing of Bill H.3084, providing each school district of this state with a student bullying advisory council made up of students and parents selected to advise the governing body on matters relating to student on student bullying problems. Please join us in taking a stand against bullying by giving parents and students a voice, to aid in the prevention of bullying within every school district of South Carolina.
Why is this important?
Over 5.7 million public school children are estimated to be involved in bullying as either a bully, a target of bullying, or both. Increasingly more and more children are being bullied, beaten, and harmed within schools, interfering with the victims receiving their education and what is supposed to be a safe environment. This MUST change to protect our children. Please help us put an end to bullying and get justice for our children.
