No company can send an individual to collections with out notifying them first. All I got was a collection notice. They never asked me to pay the bills. I have lived in the same house in San Diego for 25 years and I am not hard to find.
Why is this important?
Verizon sent me to collections for a bill that was not mine. They say I have NEVER had an account with them, but I still need to send them personal information. In the past year I have sent over a dozen documents from banks, utility companies to police reports of identity fraud and they refuse to take me off of collections.
