Stop Corporate Tax Cuts

We, the undersigned, call on Congress to end the corporate tax loopholes which President Obama recommended in his campaign, 2010 State of Union and 2011 State of Union messages. We call on Congress to stop the corporate tax cuts, and create a fair and equitable tax system.

Why is this important?

Two thirds of all U.S. corporations do not pay federal income tax. If they paid their fair share, we wouldn't have to cut teachers, firefighters and public services. Every year corporate tax havens cost us $100 billion. That's nearly enough to balance the budgets of all 50 states. Corporate tax avoiders are bankrupting the United States.

  • Please, we need some fairness here in Idaho where hard-working men and women make half of a livable wage and pay 6 1/2 cent taxes on food. People who used to have a decent life are impoverished and living in trailers or with relatives. There will be a revolution if we do not soon remove corporate America from controling our government.
