Stop de-Funding Mental Health Programs

I would also suggest that we take our representatives to task for gutting mental health programs for the past three decades. At most our culture are on the streets, scarcely able to fend for them selves. A few are unstable and violent. Do you think it's a coincidence that we've seen a graphic upswing in horrific events like this while psychiatric services are increasingly difficult to obtain? Even with strict gun laws, in 2011 Norway experienced a dreadful shooting where 77 died- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Norway_attacks. Those who would do harm will find a means. In most every case the shooters had LONG records of psychiatric issues, but inappropriate laws- like not confining someone until he or she had actually maimed or murdered, and the lack of available, affordable resources is more to blame than easy access to guns. I would respectfully recommend we concentrate on ways to protect the rest of society from these few intent on ruining innocent lives.

Why is this important?

Stop the war against Mental Health!!!
