Stop discrimination of employment

Prevent discrimination of previous mistakes of those convicted of felonies and who have had thier rights restored.

Why is this important?

The reason I am starting this petition is to help put a stop to discrimation of those who have been previously convicted of a felony.

I was convicted of a class 6 felony in 2008 and since 2009 when I was released I have not been able to find employement.

People say that when a person does their time the sentence and punishment is served.

Where is the justice for those that made mistakes and are still paying for them.

For instance the coviction that I pled to was for attempted aggrivated domestic violence.
And since the conviction I have applied to Lowe's Home Improvement on several occasions. All of which I have been told that I am not able to be hired due to my answers on my assessment. How is this possible when the majority of my working life has been in customer service with the highest remarks?

It is because of my background and even though my civil right have been restored I am not given fair treatment and I wanted to start this because I am sure that there are others out there that are expierencing the same unfair treatment.
