To: The United States House of Representatives, The United States Senate, and President Donald Trump
Stop Domestic Terrorism
There is a growing threat of domestic terrorism, incited by a coordinated, online network of white supremacists who have become emboldened by explicit and implied rhetoric from Trump and other elected leaders.
Shortly after Trump took office, he canceled a $400,000 grant to Life After Hate, a group of former white supremacists working to dissuade young people from following the ideology. In October of last year, the Administration decided against renewing an anti-domestic terror program.
Please co-sponsor Senator Durbin's Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act, and support policies that reduce radicalization of domestic terrorists, including: common sense gun regulations and strengthening hate speech laws and enforcement.
Moreover, please hold elected leaders to account for inciting violence through direct or implied rhetoric.

Why is this important?
My extended family was gunned down in a mass shooting attack in 2015 (six members). Since then, domestic terrorism has risen dramatically, fueled by white supremacist radicalization. We need to call it what it is: terrorism.
